Mom to Mom is a group that provides support, education, and community for women during and after the perinatal period. Founded by two moms whose transition into motherhood brought unexpected challenges and emotions, and who share a common goal of helping other women feel less alone in their journeys. We offer a weekly peer support group for ALL mothers, with a focus on maternal mental health. The Motherhood Collaborative is an event geared toward moms and the everyday challenges motherhood brings.
Meet Our Team
Kimberlee Ward Anthony is a co-founder of Mom to Mom and mental health advocate. Shortly after the birth of her daughter in 2015, she was diagnosed with postpartum depression. Her recovery process has been a journey that she is still working on today, and has been documenting through her blog (@_themillennialmomblog_), as a form of therapy. In May, she marched in Washington, DC for maternal mental health awareness! Aside from her blog, Kimberlee is an actress, model, and social media marketer. She loves binge-watching Netflix and Michael Buble. Kimberlee resides in the Princeton, NJ area with her husband, daughter, and two cats. Her goal for Mom to Mom is to form a community of support for mothers who have and are going through a perinatal mood disorder.
Nicole Van Hessen is a co-founder of Mom to Mom and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey. After having her first baby in 2017, Nicole experienced symptoms of postpartum depression and felt as though she lacked the appropriate knowledge and support to assist her through this period. She found the transition into motherhood to be, at times, lonely and overwhelming. Nicole’s hope for Mom to Mom is that it can be a community for new moms to learn, grow, and feel less alone; a type of space she wished she had throughout her first year of motherhood. Nicole loves to spend time with her hubby, which typically involves an episode of Dateline or taking walks with their son and their rescue pup. Nicole recently started a lifestyle photography business, and also has a private practice in Princeton, NJ.
